Quickstart in three steps

  1. 1

    Prepare your board

    Add a Files column for the label image and a Text column for the result.

  2. 2

    Add the automation

    On the board, click Automate, choose the Barcode and QR Code Scanner app, and set up one of the automations.

  3. 3

    Attach a photo

    Add a photo of the label to the Files column. The value appears in the result column.

Scan a code when a column changes

Scan barcode or QR code from Image file column and write the value to Result column

Runs as soon as a photo is added. Best for boards where people upload as they go.

Scan a code when an item is created

Scan barcode or QR code from Image file column and write the value to Result column

Runs when a new item arrives with the photo already attached. Best for monday.com Forms and imports.

Scan a code when a status changes

Scan barcode or QR code from Image file column and write the value to Result column

Runs when someone sets a status. Best when photos are collected first and processed together.

You can use more than one automation on the same board.
